Wauconda, RL stay undefeated

Wauconda's girls basketball team won again Tuesday night.

Kate Martino had 16 points, 4 steals, 3 assists and 3 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to a 55-38 win over visiting Zion-Benton in a North Suburban Conference crossover.

Wauconda, which improved to 9-0, also got good production from Lauren Mead, who totaled 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Tammy Ellis added 9 points, 6 assists and 5 steals, while Aimee Prudhomme chipped in 7 points and 6 rebounds.

Round Lake 52, Lakes 33: The undefeated Panthers improved to 4-0 in the North Suburban Prairie Division, as Amber Phillips scored 20 points.

Labrenthia Murdock, Ashley Miller and Chanee Brown each had 10.

Lakes was led in scoring by Mary Doupis with 9 points.

Grayslake Central 54, McHenry 39: Megan LeBaron scored 17 points for the Rams, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Katelynn Putkonen added 12 points for Grayslake Central (3-5).
