Rossdeutcher leads way for Prospect

Emily Rossdeutcher won three events en route to first place in the all-around as Prospect scored 137.4 to beat Elk Grove (133.85) in a Mid-Suburban East girls gymnastics meet Tuesday.

Rossdeutcher won the balance beam (9.45), floor exercise (9.1) and uneven bars (8.9) and was second on the vault (9.25). Teammate Lauren Johnson was scond in the all-around.

Kim Gulik of Elk Grove won the vault (9.55) and was second on beam (9.1) and floor (9.0). Christine Baldovin took third in the all-around.

Fremd wins triangular: Tori Sarantakis won four events and the all-around to lead Fremd (148.45) past MSL West foe Barrington (140.25) and Bartlett in the triangular.

Sarantakis won the vault (9.7), beam (9.7), floor (9.65) and tied teammate Caitlin Golota for first on bars (9.6).

Golota was second in the all-around as she tied for second on beam (9.4), was the runnerup on bars (9.3) and third on vault (9.6).

Barrington's Laura Sculley was third in the all-around as she was second on vault (9.6), beam (9.4) and floor (9.25) and third on bars (9.3). Fremd's Sarah Torp took third on floor (9.15).

Meadows d. Wheeling: Jen Andersen won two events and tied for first in another en route to all-around honors as Meadows (136.0) beat Wheeling (120.75) in the MSL East.

Andersen won beam (9.6) and bars (8.6) and tied Wheeling's Amy Burke for first on vault (9.4). Burke was second on floor (9.4) , beam (8.9) and all-around.
