Santa Sleigh 5K run: 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6; South Middle School, 400 S. Highland Ave., Arlington Heights. Don a Santa suit and race a 5 kilometer, traffic-free course for the Arlington Heights Rotary Club. There will also be a 1-mile walk for those who prefer a Santa stroll. All registered participants receive a 5-piece Santa suit and goody bag filled with items from the event sponsors. Entry fee is $30 for age 13 and older, and $20 for age 12 and younger. Day of activities for children, teens and adults who have experienced the death of a loved one. Children and teens will participate in art and physical activities to honor their loved one or to express feelings of grief.
