Dundee-Crown screens movie:

The Amnesty International Club at Dundee-Crown High School is screening "Invisible Children," a documentary about child soldiers in Uganda. The club is hoping to raise awareness of the Ugandan civil war and child soldiers. The movie will be shown at 3:15 p.m. today in the Dundee-Crown Auditorium. Eggs and the economy at Judson:

Judson University will host a breakfast event at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 1 to discuss and forecast economic outlook based on President-Elect's Barack Obama's policies. The event will feature Armond Dinverno, a principal and co-president of Balasa Dinverno Foltz LLC, and part of Charles Schwab's Institutional Advisory Board. He also testified to President Bush's Advisory Panel on Tax Reform about the impact of the tax laws on taxpayers' decisions and their behavior. Learning to protect seniors:

The Carpentersville Fire Department and the Dundee Township Park District Senior Center have been awarded scholarships for members to participate in a training program for seniors developed by the National Fire Protection Association. "Remembering When: A Fire and Fall Prevention Program for Older Adults" offers strategies to help prevent fires and falls among seniors. The training will take place Dec. 3 thru 5 in Boston.
