Smoking, leaders costing money, jobs
State revenues from casino operations in Illinois are down 20 percent, while it's down 2 to 5 percent in surrounding states for the same time period.
Sen. Terry Link is quoted in your paper as saying "... you will never prove to me that the smoking ban is the effect for the decline of revenue at the riverboats."
There's an open-minded leader looking to move our state ahead!
He wants to blame the national economy for our states financial woes instead of taking responsibility for the real reason casino revenues are down in Illinois, and that's a combination of his smoking ban coupled with his loyal support of a totally inept governor that has chased 60,000 jobs out of Illinois.
