Grayslake

• Brandon J. Benton, 26, 42 Allen Ave., Grayslake, was arrested Nov. 1 at 101 Center St. and charged with retail theft. His court date is Nov. 24.

Gurnee

•Robert C. Huhn Jr., 22, 35790 N. Wilson Road, Ingleside, was arrested around 2 p.m. Nov. 4 at Bass Pro Shop, 6112 Route 132, and charged with retail theft after he took two knives and a T-shirt. The total value was estimated at $72. A court date was not available.

Hawthorn Woods

•Alexander Wentland, 17, 22 Falkirk Road, Hawthorn Woods, was arrested around 2 a.m. Nov. 4 on the 0-100 block of Lagoon Drive and charged with possession of marijuana. A court date was not available.

Lake Zurich

•Robert J. Hammon, 35, 339 Parkside Ave., Sycamore, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. Nov 5 after he turned himself in at the police department, 200 Mohawk Trail, during an investigation. He was charged with theft and filing a false police report. A court date was not available.

Libertyville

•Burglars cut a lock and stole three fiberglass ladders from a construction site on Shell Drive between 3 p.m. Nov. 3 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 4. Value was estimated at $410.

Round Lake Beach

•Vandals spray painted graffiti overnight Oct. 28-29 at five homes on the 1500 block of Meadowbrook Drive, 1400 block of Ardmore Drive, 1300 block of Sunset Avenue, 0-100 block of West Hawthorne Drive, and 1400 block of Round Lake Drive. Damage estimates were not available.

Vernon Hills

•Melissa Rattner, 41, 33 Monterey Drive, Vernon Hills, was arrested Nov. 3 at her home and charged with village ordinance keeping more than three animals after an officer found five dogs in her home. Her court date is Nov. 24.

•Andrew H. Chang, 22, 2289 Hazeltime Drive, Vernon Hills, was arrested Nov. 3 at Hazeltime and Shadow Creek and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A court date is Dec. 8.

Wauconda

•Brian T. King, 33, 25542 Tamarack Drive, Wauconda, was arrested around 11:20 a.m. Nov. 3 at Jackson Avenue and Sheridan Drive and charged with theft. His court date is Dec. 10.

•Thieves stole DVDs around 4:50 p.m. Nov. 5 from Blockbuster Video, 535 W. Liberty St. A value estimate was not available.
