•Burglars cut a lock and stole three fiberglass ladders from a construction site on Shell Drive between 3 p.m. Nov. 3 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 4. Value was estimated at $410.

•Vandals spray painted graffiti overnight Oct. 28-29 at five homes on the 1500 block of Meadowbrook Drive, 1400 block of Ardmore Drive, 1300 block of Sunset Avenue, 0-100 block of West Hawthorne Drive, and 1400 block of Round Lake Drive. Damage estimates were not available.

•Melissa Rattner, 41, 33 Monterey Drive, Vernon Hills, was arrested Nov. 3 at her home and charged with village ordinance keeping more than three animals after an officer found five dogs in her home. Her court date is Nov. 24.
•Andrew H. Chang, 22, 2289 Hazeltime Drive, Vernon Hills, was arrested Nov. 3 at Hazeltime and Shadow Creek and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A court date is Dec. 8.
