•A man broke into a 2006 Subaru Outback around 10:10 p.m. Oct. 24 in a driveway on the 42500 block of Lake Avenue but walked away when the male owner approached him. He returned a few minutes later and climbed inside the car, but left with two other men without taking anything. During the same time and on the same block, vandals scratched the front driver's-side door on a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. Damage estimates were not available.

Grayslake

•Martin Reyes-Perez, 32, 665 Brittany Square, Grayslake, was arrested Oct. 26 at his home and charged with disorderly conduct. His court date is Nov. 26.

Gurnee

•Vandals smashed the front passenger's-side window on a 2002 Honda Accord on the 6700 block of Derby Drive between 6 and 9 p.m. Oct. 28. Damage was estimated at $200.

Island Lake

•A vandal hurled a rock through a downstairs window at a home on the 500 block of Tulip Circle, smashed the rear window on a vehicle on the 300 block of Tulip Circle, and dented the hood and broke the windshield on a car on the 400 block of Tulip Circle around 4:40 a.m. Oct. 31. Damage estimates were not available.

•Burglars stole a purse and cell phone around 10 a.m. Oct. 27 out of a home on the 100 block of Carolyn Court. A value estimate was not available.

Lincolnshire

•Thieves stole clothing from a house on the 100 block of Westminster Way, reported at 7:24 a.m. on Oct. 27. A value estimate was not available.

•Thieves stole personal information from a resident on Kings Cross, reported at 10:57 a.m. on Oct. 27, and tried to use the information to establish credit card accounts. No value estimate was available.

Mundelein

•Thieves stole a boys' blue and white bicycle Oct. 23 or 24 at a home on the 26100 block of Maple Avenue. Value was estimated at $130.

Vernon Hills

•Tanisha Z. Ranson, 4140 N. 13th St., Milwaukee, Wis., and Larrita S. Jones, 30, 4630 N. 19th St., Milwaukee, Wis., were arrested Oct. 25 at Westfield Hawthorn mall after they admitted possessing pry tools with the intention of using them to remove security tags. Jones also admitted to stealing merchandise valued at $268 from stores in the mall. Both were charged with possession of a theft detection removal device; Jones also was charged with retail theft. Court dates were not available.

Wauconda

•Vandals damaged property around 11 p.m. Oct. 24 on the 400 block of Edgewater Lane. A damage estimate was not available.
