Golden Age

2 ounces amber rum

½ ounce cherry liqueur, such as Cherry Heering

¾ ounce fresh lemon juice

½ ounce simple syrup

Fill a highball glass with crushed ice.

In a cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients, except the ice and garnish and shake for 10 seconds. Add ice cube; shake 10 seconds.

Strain into a glass and garnish with lemon and cherry skewered together.

Serves one.
