Briefs: New Winfield trustee
Angel Oakley was sworn in this week as the newest member of the Winfield village board. She replaces Christine Petitti, who stepped down, and will serve until the post comes up for election in April. Oakley volunteers with the Winfield Chamber of Commerce and Friends of the Library, owns her own marketing group and manages the marketing operations of Monitor Liability Mangers in Rolling Meadows. Oakley said she felt called to serve. "My intent is to see if the skills I have gained from working in the corporate world, running my own business and actively being involved with Winfield businesses can be of value to the board," she said.
