Sabres notch win

With a pair of goals and an assist from Alex Perez, Streamwood (3-0-1) pushed past Downers Grove North in the Lake Park Lancer Classic. Perez was assisted by Yuto Tsukida before scoring unassisted and later found Roma Patino who put in No. 3. In goal, Edgar Leyva recorded 5 saves.

St. Edward 2, Richmond-Burton 1: Clayton Pfeiffer and Miguel Martinez combined to help St. Edward (1-3) to its first win of the season. Pfeiffer got the Green Wave on the board assisted by Martinez and the duo reversed it for the game winning goal. With 8 saves in goal, John Duggan kept St. Edward on top.

Schaumburg 6, Bartlett 1: After a rough first half, Bartlett (2-2-1) was unable to bounce back dropping this nonconference matchup to Schaumburg. Marino Zaccaro had the lone Hawks goal assisted by Garrett Dini. Sharing time in the net for Bartlett, Mike Paparella tallied 6 saves and Jeff Gal nabbed 7 saves.

Buffalo Grove 3, Crystal Lake South 2: Despite goals from Charlie Oliver and Jordan Innis, Crystal Lake South (2-2-1) dropped this nonconference game 3-2. Chris Ruzbasan and Mike McKenny each contributed assists, while in goal Zach Dalzell recorded 5 saves in a losing effort.
