Liquor sting in Roselle

The employees of three Roselle establishments were charged this week for unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor during a regular liquor compliance check run by the Roselle Police Department.

Charged were Sukjeet Bhamra of Aurora, an employee at Quick Stop Foods, 996 W. Lake St.; Amanda MacDonald of Glendale Heights, who works at Tina Marias Bar and Grill, 49 E. Irving Park Road; and Maria Lima of Streamwood, who works at Friendly's Place, 859 E. Nerge Road.

Liquor violation reports for the three establishments were submitted to the Roselle Liquor Commission for administrative review. Police visited 29 liquor retailers during the July 30 inspections.
