Fox Lake Volunteer Fire Department 100 Year Celebration: 6 p.m. July 17 and 18, 10 a.m. July 19 and 20, Fire House Station 2, 306 Washington St. Fox Lake. Car wash for veterans: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 18, College of Lake County, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake, parking lot 3. A car wash will be held to benefit the Army's Illinois Family Readiness Group and the College of Lake County Veterans Memorial Monument. Texas Hold 'Em Tournament: Noon to midnight July 19, village hall grounds, 619 Pontiac Court, Round Lake Heights. The 15th Annual Round Lake Heights Texas Hold 'Em Tournament. The $75 tournament will start at 6 p.m. The event also includes food and entertainment including crafters, music and a fireworks display at 10 p.m. All proceeds go toward the Dollars for Scholars program. Wildcats car wash: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 20, Wauconda Fire Department, 109 W. Liberty St., Wauconda. The LYAA 12u Wauconda Wildcats softball team will wash cars for $5 each to raise funds to take part in the NAFA softball nationals tournament.
Lake Forest Antique Auto Show: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 20, behind Deerpath Middle School, 155 W. Deerpath Road, Lake Forest. Over 300 vintage autos, classic sportscars and a rarely exhibited Tucker 48 will be on display. Proceeds will benefit The Cradle and The Rotary Foundation. Admission is $10.
Raffle for Reading: Through July 26, Grayslake Area Public Library, 100 Library Lane, Grayslake. The Grayslake Library Foundation is holding their second annual Raffle for Reading fundraiser. Money raised will support the Library's new TeenSpace. Among the prizes are four tickets to the Aug. 3 Cubs/Cardinals game, a Weber gas grill and a $200 savings bond. Busy Brains raffle: Through July 27. Busy Brains is holding a 50/50 raffle to support the construction of a children's museum in Lake County.
