The Winfield Chamber of Commerce will play host tonight to Cruzin Winfield, the village's summer classic car show, from 6 to 9 p.m. along Jewell Road near Winfield Road in the village's town center. Blood drive in West Chicago

Hospital volunteer honored

Dorothy Nelson, a Glen Ellyn resident and longtime volunteer at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital, recently was honored for her 22 years of service to the Glendale Heights hospital. Nelson, 88, was the hospital's most senior and longest-serving volunteer. During her tenure, she logged more than 14,000 hours of service, working first in the hospital's emergency room and later as a hospital front desk receptionist.
