Boaters good to go on Chain, Fox

With water levels receding, boating restrictions on the Chain O'Lakes were lifted today.

A no-wake order that had been in place since Thursday morning was removed, essentially allowing boaters to fully enjoy the lakes and the rest of the Fox River between Stratton Dam in McHenry and the Wisconsin state line.

Restrictions on other parts of the river remain in place, however, the Fox Waterway Agency said.
