Hampshire Lions Charity Golf Tournament: The Hampshire Lions will be host its 17 annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, June 20 at the Marengo Ridge Golf Club at Marengo,.
The annual tournament will again have two flights. The non-handicap flight will feature a four person scramble format. The handicap flight will be a two person best ball format.
The tournament is open to all golfers. Women will play from the women's red tees, with the men playing from the white tees. Those golfers wishing to play in the handicap flight must present a USGA handicap which will be adjusted for this tournament.
The first place team in the non-handicap flight will receive $600; second place will receive $400; third place will receive $200; and fourth place will receive $100.
The first place team in the 2-man handicap flight will receive $300 and second place will receive $200. Additional prizes and games will be given for other events throughout the day.
Tee-off time is noon for all entrants with a shotgun start. The cost for this day of golf, riding golf carts, prizes, gifts, and a prime rib dinner is $100 per golfer.
Proceeds from the charity event will be donated to Lions Club Charities, an organization which aids the deaf, blind, underprivileged children and other needs in the Hampshire community. ECC Golf Classic: Area golfers are invited to participate in the 10th annual Elgin Community College Foundation Golf Classic on Monday, June 23 at the Elgin Country Club, 2575 Weld Road, Elgin.
An afternoon of golf complemented by a full slate of prizes and activities promises to make for a most enjoyable day.
Proceeds benefit the ECC Foundation annual fund, which awards more than $100,000 yearly to current and incoming students attending ECC.
Registration and a silent auction begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch at 11 a.m. The shotgun start, four-person scramble is set to begin at noon.
There are numerous contests along the way to keep everyone busy as they play the 18-hole, par 72 private course.
After golf, guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner, awards and live auction.
Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m., during which awards and prizes will be announced. The auction will be held after dinner.
The cost is $250 per golfer and includes valet parking, greens fee, cart, personal locker, putting green, driving range, pro services, lunch, dinner, open bar and door prize.
Foursomes are $900. Program sponsors are available beginning at $75 and event sponsorships begin at $250. Those who do not golf are welcome to attend the lunch for $20 per person, or the reception and dinner for $60 per person.

Girls Sybaquay Council 2008 Golf Classic: Girl Scouts-Sybaquay Council will hold its fourth annual golf event, FORE! Our Girls: Sybaquay Council 2008 Golf Classic on Friday, July 11 at Whisper Creek Golf Club, 12840 Del Webb Blvd., Huntley.
Check-in and continental breakfast begins at 7 a.m. with shotgun start at 8 a.m., lunch buffet and cocktails beginning at 1 p.m., concluding with an auction and awards from 1 to 3 p.m.
Cost is $175 per golfer or $700 for a four-player corporate team and includes continental breakfast; a round of 18 holes; cart with ProLink GPS course info and yardage system; practice center warm up and course games; luncheon buffet with one-hour open bar, auction and awards. If you wish to attend the lunch buffet only, the cost is $45 and will be from 1 to 3 p.m.

Swing for Kids' Sale: Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County is currently accepting registration for its 6th annual Swing for Kids' Sake event. The event will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at the Crystal Woods Golf Club.
The event will run from noon to 7 p.m. The cost is $150 per person and includes lunch, 18 holes of golf, a cart, dinner and prizes. Corporate and individual golfer packages are available in addition to tee box sponsorships. A dinner-only option is also available.
The hole-in-one prize is a 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible generously donated by Crystal Lake Chrysler Jeep.

Anvil Club golf outing: The Anvil Club's 2008 annual golf outing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 6 at the Golf Club of IL in Algonquin. Proceeds will benefit the Ecker Center for Mental Health.
Registration is set for 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. tee off for the scramble. Cost is $155 per golfer and includes the use of the driving range, a golf cart and lunch.
The 19th Hole will open at the Anvil Club at 3:30 p.m. as drinks and hors d'oeuvres are served to the sounds of Elgin Attorney Loren Golden's Jazz Ensemble. The Anvil Club's signature steak and lobster dinner is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Cost of dinner-only is $65.
Exciting golf contests, plus three hole-in-one contests, are scheduled. Featured prizes include a 2008 Mercedes C-Class Automobile sponsored by Motor Werks of Barrington, a Rolex Watch sponsored by D & M Perlman Fine Jewelry & Gifts of West Dundee and a cash prize of $10,000 sponsored by Bank of America, 2000 Big Timber Road, Elgin.

The Ecker Center for Mental Health has served the northern two-thirds or Kane County and Barrington and Hanover Townships for 52 years, providing outpatient and residential crisis, psychiatry, nursing, case management, vocational support, psychosocial rehabilitation and therapy to adults and a few children and adolescents.

Adult and Child Rehab Center golf outing: With the arrival of spring, plans for the Adult & Child Rehab Center's 20th annual golf outing and dinner auction are under way. The golf outing is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 11 at the McHenry Country Club, 820 N. John St. in McHenry.
The day will begin with a chip-out contest at 10:30 a.m., and will end with an elegant dinner and a live auction conducted by acappella group Ac.Rock. Other events include a reverse raffle with the chance to win $4,000, golf prizes, lunch, cocktails, a silent auction and more.
The 18-hole outing gives both businesses and individuals the chance to raise money for the Adult & Child Rehab Center, which provides therapy and nursing services to children and adults throughout McHenry County. The Rehab Center has been serving the residents of McHenry County since 1949.

ACRC Women's Golf Outing and Tea: The Adult & Child Rehab Center's Annual Women's Golf Outing and Tea, appropriately named Tee to Tea, is taking place on Monday, September 29 at Chalet Hills in Cary.
The day will begin with nine holes of golf and end with a high tea. Other events will include a caddy auction, appetizers and drinks on the course, a silent auction, and much more.
The Adult & Child Rehab Center provides physical, occupational, speech and lymphedema therapies, as well as home nursing care. We have been serving McHenry County since 1949.
