Fire damages home in Tower Lakes

The deck and siding of a two-story wood frame house at 24651 Nodding Flower Court, Tower Lakes, caught on fire Saturday afternoon.

A neighbor reported the fire at 3:26 p.m., according to the Wauconda Fire Department.

No one was home at the time.

The fire was put out in about 20 minutes. It was confined to the exterior of the single-family house and caused about $40,000 damage. The cause is under investigation.

Firefighters from Lake Zurich, Round Lake, Fox Lake, Nunda and Cary fire departments helped fight the fire.
