Saturday is for kids at Stratford Square
Stratford Square Mall will host its annual Children's Day celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The event will include free activities for kids such as games, face-painting, dress up trunk, petting zoo and rock climbing wall. The Schaumburg Flyers pitching net, Brunswick Zone money machine and video game, reptiles and a variety of mascots will be on hand.
Check in at Center Court beginning at 10:45 a.m. and receive a "bingo" card and event information. The first 500 kids to check in will receive a goodie bag.
Demonstrations and performances are scheduled on the lower level near Kohl's from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Stratford Square Mall, located in Bloomingdale, is near Army Trail Road and Gary Avenue. For details, visit www.stratfordsquaremall.com.
Student dance benefits autism
Roselle Middle School Student Council successfully held its second annual danceathon April 18. This year the group sponsored Autism Speaks. Student council sponsors and 44 students participated and raised more than $1,900 for the charity. For details about Autism Speaks, visit www.autismspeaks.org
Event raises money to aid 4-year-old
TopGolf Wood Dale will host a benefit from 6 to 10 p.m. May 10 to benefit Tyler Stenger, a 4-year-old from Genoa City who has been diagnosed with a rare disease called Chiari malformation.
The cost is $30 per person and includes unlimited games of TopGolf, as well as food and beverages. All proceeds will benefit Tyler Stenger and his family.

Child psychiatrist to speak at school
Dr. Michael Feld, a psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of adolescents and children, will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Westfield Middle School, 149 Fairfield Way, Bloomingdale.

Questions will remain anonymous. Audience members also can ask questions during his presentation.
