County wage, benefit survey now available

The McHenry County Economic Development Corporation 2008 Wage, Benefit and Salary Survey results are now available.

This confidential survey provides specific McHenry County wage and salary data as well as benefit information on insurance coverage, vacation policies and promotion incentives.

The results are free to all participants. Nonparticipants can purchase the survey by contacting the McHenry County Economic Development Corporation at (815) 363-0444 or e-mail info@mcedc.com.

"This survey is now in its 48th year providing information specific to McHenry County," said Chris Manheim, president.

"We have accumulated over 350 different job codes and have identified positions into three areas -- executive, factory and office."

The benefit portion of the survey provides data on compensation adjustments, paid time off, insurance and tuition reimbursement.

"This section is an extremely valuable tool for planning and comparison purposes," said Pam Allen, Sage Products vice president of human resources.

In January of 2009, McHenry County Economic Development Corporation will offer McHenry County companies an opportunity to participate in the next survey.
