• Christopher Lee Schoo of Island Lake graduated cum laude with an architecture-professional degree from Iowa State University at the December 2007 commencement ceremony in Ames.

• Mario Anthony Limonciello of Mundelein graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Iowa State University at the December 2007 commencement ceremony in Ames.

• Katherine Lee Denman daughter of Ms. Virginia Cafky Leto of Libertyville, was named to the dean's list for the Advent 2007 term at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn. To achieve this honor, she earned at least a 3.625 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

• Courtney K. Roth from Gurnee, a student at Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, was named to the fall 2007 dean's list for achieving an academic average of 3.5 or higher.

• Celena Maureen Simpson, daughter of Ms. Deridre Simpson-Rhoads of Round Lake Beach, and a sophomore at Ripon College in Wisconsin was named to the 2007 fall semester dean's list for achieving at least a 3.40 grade point average.

• Lisa Julia Haney of Kildeer graduated with a master's degree in agronomy from Iowa State University at the December 2007 commencement ceremony in Ames.
