The Jacobs softball team ran its record to 3-1 Monday with an 11-0 Fox Valley Conference crossover win over Prairie Ridge.
Kara Arceneaux was in the circle for Jacobs, going 5 innings, striking out 4 and walking none.

Johnsburg 7, Crystal Lake South 3: Crystal Lake South (3-2) couldn't pull out the won against Johnsburg. Megan Hardie led the Gators offensively going 1-for-3 with a double. Jessica Gable was in the circle and suffered the lose.
Huntley 14, Dundee-Crown 2: Sam Clemons(5-0) struck out 12 in 7 innings to lead Huntley (5-0) to victory. Sarah Clancy was 2-for-2 with 2 runs and an RBI, Alexys Robbins went 2-for-3 with double, Alex Albanese was 2-for-4, and Clemons was 2-for-4. Emilie Kerkman (1-2) took the loss for Dundee-Crown (2-2).
Geneva 12, Elgin 2: Elgin (0-6) fell to Geneva in non-conference play. Jenna Jaynes had a double for the Maroons. Kelly Patchett took the lose.
Cary-Grove 12, Grayslake Central 1: Cary-Grove (4-2) was led offensively by Lindsay Fritz, who was 2-for-4 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI. Emily Smith was 3-for-4 with 2 triples and a double and Ellen Jesse had a home run for the Trojans. Kristen Bauer struck out 5 in the circle for the Trojans.
St. Charles North 3, South Elgin 2: Kim Pierce had a double and 2 RBI despite South Elgin's 3-2 Upstate Eight loss to St. Charles North. Stephanie Sanocki also had 2 hits for the Storm (3-2, 0-2). Rebecca French took the loss.
Hampshire 26, Rockford Christian 0: Hampshire left Rockford Christian scoreless in 5 innings. Hampshire was led by Jessica Krause, who had a home run, and Ally Kent who added a double. Tegan Singleton was the winning pitcher.
West Aurora 1, Larkin 0: The Royals fell in nonconference play to West Aurora (9-0) in 7 tough innings. Larkin was unable to get the ball past West Aurora's defense as Sam Arenkill (3-0) pitched 3 innings and Stephanie Becker finished up for the Blackhawks. Heather Graff (1-2) suffered the loss for Larkin (2-4) collecting 2 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Girls soccer
Genoa-Kingston 4, Westminster Christian 3:Œ Westminster Christian (0-3) was unable to pull out the win against Genoa. Rachel Doby scored two of Westminster Christian's goals, while Amanda Shelton scored the other. Brittany Feitlich was in goal and collected 24 saves.
Neuqua Valley 7, Elgin 0: Elgin (0-2-1, 0-1-1) fell to Neuqua Valley in Upstate Eight Conference play. Yesenia Meza was in the net for the Maroons with 21 saves.
Streamwood 3, Kaneland 0: Lonnie Prout scored the first Streamwood (3-2-3) goal followed by Alanah Thompson. Violet Sanchez scored the last Sabres' goal. Pearl Patel had 3 saves in the goal.
College baseball
Judson ties win streak record: Tying the school record for consecutive wins, Judson University (10-14, 7-3) won game one, 5-2, but fell in game two to Trinity International University as the Eagles split the CCAC series. Judson won its ninth game in a row to tie the school record for consecutive wins that was set in the 2004 season.
Judson currently stands in third place in the CCAC with a 7-3 record and is just three games behind Purdue-North Central who has an 11-1 record in the CCAC.
Roger Lugo led Judson in hitting as he went 3 for 6 with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored in both games.
