Aging agency looking for advisory council member
The Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging is seeking a McHenry County resident or someone employed in McHenry County to represent the county on the agency's Advisory Council. The position is for the remainder of an unexpired term, and the appointee will then be eligible for a full three-year term.
The primary qualifications required for this volunteer position are a sincere interest in benefiting senior citizens and a desire to make the public aware of the services available to older persons. The Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging is a nonprofit organization responsible for developing and coordinating a network of services for older people throughout an eight-county area in northeastern Illinois. The agency informs and advises public and private agencies and the general public of the needs of older persons living in the area, and acts as an advocate on their behalf.
