Chamber series offers tips for small businesses

The Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce presents the Learn from the Experts: Building Business Success series featuring six classes focused on helping small businesses implement strategies for developing business survival.

The series includes "Success Strategies:

• "Implementing a Strategic Plan for Survival" presented by Mary Margaret Maule, SBDC coordinator, on April 10 at the Fox River Grove village hall.

• "Goal Setting: Stay on Task to Successful Business Development," presented by Steve Brainerd of Dale Carnegie, on April 16 at the Cary Area Public Library.

• "Identify Your Competitive Advantages to Drive Your Growth," by Catherine Jones of McHenry County College, on April 22 at the Fox River Grove village hall

• "The Best Low Cost Marketing Techniques," presented by Sheila Van Gorden of 123 Fix It, on May 1 at the Fox River Grove village hall.

• "Publicize Your Company for Free," by Carl Oldberg of Oldberg & Co., on May 7 at the Cary Area Public Library.

• "Moments of Truth: Change Your Life Today," by Jim Accetta, CPCC, Truly Human Coaching, on May 20 at the Fox River Grove village hall.

Cost for members is $10 per session, $15 for nonmembers; or $45 for the full series, $85 for nonmembers. All sessions will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

The Fox River Grove village hall is at 305 Illinois St. in Fox River Grove. The Cary Area Public Library is at 1606 Three Oaks Road in Cary.
