Youth can attend volleyball camp

Club Fusion Volleyball is offering new youth programs beginning the first weekend in April.

There are programs designed for first through third graders, fourth- through sixth-graders and seventh- and eighth-graders.

Gala to help Home of the Sparrow

Home of the Sparrow will present its annual gala fundraiser April 5 at Bull Valley Country Club in Woodstock. This year's theme is "Happy Days Sock Hop."

All area residents are invited to come out and enjoy dinner, entertainment and raffles, as well as silent and live auctions. A 1950s attire is optional.

Home of the Sparrow, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency in Crystal Lake, will use proceeds from the event to provide transitional housing, counseling and support services for homeless women and their children in northern Illinois.

Volunteers are needed to help decorate and who also can work the night of the gala.
