Wheaton resident Patricia Schwarze, executive director of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Suburban Chicago, headquartered in Schaumburg, was appointed secretary-treasurer of the BOMA International Association Executives Council. Schwarze has been executive director of the suburban chapter for the past 12 years.

Ryan Bowman of Hoffman Estates, an independent distributor for Waiora, was promoted to the 10K Ruby level by the direct selling company.

AT&T Inc. named Kevin Petersen vice president of business communications services for AT&T Midwest. Petersen succeeds Mike Welch, who was named vice president of sales operations for advertising and publishing.

UAL Corp., the holding company whose primary subsidiary is United Airlines, named Tracy M. Elving vice president, base maintenance for the United States. Elving, who joins United from General Electric, becomes responsible for engine, components and airframe maintenance for United's fleet, its customer work at the San Francisco base, and oversight of all outsourced airframe maintenance worldwide.

PrivateBank-Chicago named Gary S. Collins executive managing director and president, Chicago offices; Hugh H. McLean to executive managing director and president, suburban offices; and Jay Williams, chairman and chief executive officer of the Wisconsin region, has added the title of chief operating officer of PrivateBancorp Inc., a newly created position.

Shields Meneley Partners, a Chicago-based executive consulting firm, appointed E. David Collidge III chairman of the firm's advisory board. Collidge is former chief executive officer and current vice chairman of William Blair & Co., a private investment banking and money management firm.

Palatine resident David A. Prichard was promoted to the newly created position of vice president, investor relations and corporate communications, at Westchester-based Corn Products International Inc. Prichard had previously served as director, investor relations.

MB Financial Bank, Rosemont, promoted Stacy Koty of Plainfield to assistant vice president, property management, in the bank's facilities department; and James Campobello of Franklin Park to assistant vice president, quality, in the bank's loan documentation department.

Jim Waszak joined Michael Franks LLC, Palatine, as director of new business development for private equity.

Querrey & Harrow, Chicago, announced Michael B. Stillman will be the new managing shareholder and chairman of the board. Stillman assumes the office in July when Dennis A. Marks retires from the 75-attorney law firm with offices in Joliet, Wheaton, Crystal Lake, Waukegan and Merrillville, Ind.

The Options Clearing Corp., Chicago, promoted Heather Dimovski of Woodridge to vice president, enterprise operating platforms, from director, distributed server services; and Bob Lake of Bartlett to vice president, application services, from director, application design.

Elmhurst resident David M. Costabile was promoted to vice president of finance and administration at Strada Real Estate Services Inc., Westmont. Costabile, who has served as Strada's controller since 2005, will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department and all of its personnel, strategic fiscal planning, cash-flow management, administration of the human resources department and the management of the company's banking relationships.

Huntley resident Kasthuri V. Henry has been invited to speak in June at the Institute of Management Accountants 89th annual conference and exposition in Tampa, Fla. Kasthuri, a financial professional with more than 15 years of corporate experience and international exposure, is a global treasury consultant at Hospira Inc. She will discuss "Business Ethics: A Way of Life."

With 35 years of experience in the food service industry, Gary Knuth of Sugar Grove joined Northern Illinois Food Bank as manager of food partner relations. Knuth is involved with food acquisition programs to ensure that food is readily available for distribution to the 520 member agencies throughout Northern Illinois.

DuPont in Des Moines, Iowa, announced Elgin native Paul Schikler was named vice president and general manager, as well as president of Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business. He succeeds DuPont vice president Dean Oestreich, who assumed the role of Pioneer chairman. Schikler, who had responsibility for the international markets for Pioneer, will now have responsibility for all Pioneer business operations.

Hendrick Metal Products, formerly Hagen Metal Products, Elgin, announce the addition of engineering estimator Dan Gambal. Gambal, who is transferring from Hendrick Manufacturing Co., Carbondale, Pa., holds an associates degree in specialized technology from Johnson College, Scranton, Pa. He joins the precision sheet metal fabricator and perforator with four years of experience as a tooling engineer and 10 years experience as a tool and die maker.
