New Beginnings: New Beginnings, a non-denominational social support organization for the separated, divorced, widowed and single, will hold the following activities:

Les Bavards: Les Bavards, a monthly francophone dinner group will meet 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9, for dinner and conversation at a Des Plaines restaurant. Northwest Towns Sportsmen's Club: Northwest Towns Sportsmen's Club will hold its next meeting Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, Miner and Douglas streets, Arlington Heights. The Arlington Camera Club: Dean Sawyer will present a program on wedding photography when the Arlington Camera Club meets 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Arlington Heights Historical Society, 110 W. Fremont St., Arlington Heights. On Jan. 16, the club will take a field trip to Kramer Photography to learn about lighting portraits.
Members of the Arlington Camera Club are exhibiting their photos at the Indian Trails Library, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling. The exhibit "Winter Scenes," will be displayed through Monday.
Eli Skinner Chapter, National Daughter of the American Revolution: Gerald Carlton will present "A Look at the 1893 World's Fair" when the Eli Skinner Chapter, National Society Daughter of the American Revolution holds its monthly meeting 12:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Palatine Public Library, 700 N. Prospect Heights Garden Club: The Prospect Heights Garden Club will begin 2008 with a regular meeting 11:30 a.m. Thursday, at the Gary Morava Center, 110 W. Camp McDonald Road, Prospect Heights.
