Round Lake 64, Harvard 27
Round Lake's girls basketball team still hasn't lost a tournament game this season.
The Panthers improved to 4-0 in the Woodstock/Richmond-Burton Holiday Classic on Friday night thanks to a 64-27 win over Harvard at Woodstock.
The tournament concludes today at Richmond-Burton with the five games, including Round Lake against Grayslake North at 10:30 a.m.
Round Lake (12-2) won all five of its games in Harvard's Thanksgiving tourney.
In besting Harvard for the second time this season, Round Lake jumped out to a 17-6 lead after one quarter and was up 37-12 at halftime. The Panthers then outscored the Hornets 16-2 in the third.
Brittany Kucia led Round Lake with 14 points, including four 3-pointers. Labrenthia Murdock and Ashley Miller added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Grayslake North 51, R-B 35: At Richmond-Burton, Elizabeth Phillips had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals to lead the Knights.
Lauren Erickson and Natalie Barczyk (two 3-pointers) added 10 and 9 points, respectively, for Grayslake North (6-7), which improved to 3-1 in the Woodstock/Richmond-Burton Holiday Classic.
Burlington C., 56, Wauconda 39: At Richmond-Burton, Kate Martino scored 16 points in the Bulldogs' loss.
Wauconda fell to 6-5 overall and 1-3 in the Woodstock/Richmond-Burton tournament. The Bulldogs play Woodstock at 9 a.m. today at R-B.
Woodstock 67, Lakes 53: At Woodstock, the Blue Streaks handed the Eagles (0-16) their state record-tying 72nd consecutive loss.
Keshia Cunningham scored 27 points for Lakes, while Mandy Schellinger added 14.
Lakes wraps up the tournament today with a noon game against Crystal Lake South at Richmond-Burton.
