Students perform holiday concert

Willowbrook High School's orchestra, choirs and guitar ensemble will perform a holiday concert at 7 p.m. today in the school's auditorium, 1250 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Career counseling offered at library

Free career counseling is offered from 9 a.m. to noon the third Thursday of each month at the Helen M. Plum Memorial Library, 110 W. Maple St., Lombard. A counselor from Lombard's Jewish Vocational Service will tailor a 30-minute session to each participant's needs. Possible topics include how to organize job searches, developing resumes and cover letters, practice interviews and more. Appointments are required. Theater to present Broadway revue

Kidz Kabaret will present "It's a Grand Night for Singing" at 4 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 29 at The Comedy Shrine, 22 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville. The musical revue will include selections from Rodgers and Hammerstein's Broadway productions, such as "Some Enchanted Evening" from "South Pacific" and "Shall We Dance?" from "The King and I." Tickets cost $10, $8 for seniors and students, $6 for children 10 and younger. Seniors can purchase a ticket that includes admission to both one performance of "It's a Grand Night for Singing" and one performance of "Little Women," which runs Jan. 6-19, for $10 each. Danada offers hayrides Dec. 26-31

Horse-drawn hayrides will be offered from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 26-31 at Danada Equestrian Center, 3S501 Naperville Road, Wheaton. Rides last 30 minutes. The New Philharmonic Orchestra will present "Viennese Pops With a Twist: A New Year's Even Concert" at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 31 at McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Ave., Glen Ellyn. Conductor Kurt Muspratt will lead a family-friendly program of waltzes, polkas, American movie songs and more. Guest artists include mezzo-soprano Viktoria Vizin and pianist Meng-Chieh Liu. Park district plans teen dance Jan. 18

The Addison Park District offers dances for middle school students from 6:30 to 9:15 p.m. on the third Friday of every other month at Community Recreation Center, 120 E. Oak St. Upcoming dates are Jan. 18 and March 21. Admission costs $8 and all who attend must have a school ID or a junior high dance ID processed by 5 p.m. the Thursday before each dance at either Community Recreation Center or Centennial Recreation Center, 1776 W.
