Algonquin

• Three teens were accused of shoplifting at 3 p.m. Friday at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road. Hilda Sanchez, 17, of 1739 Maple Lane, Elgin, Ariday Conedo, 17, of 2014 Willow Ave., Hanover Park and Carlos Adame, 19, of 264 Western Ave., Elgin, were charged with retail theft, police said. Sanchez posted $100 bond and was given a Dec. 16 court date in Woodstock. Conedo and Adame were released on recognizance with Dec. 16 court dates in Woodstock.

• Two people were arrested at 5 p.m. Sunday on the 200 block of East Algonquin Road. Joseph A. Kniece, 24, of 202 E. Algonquin Road, Algonquin, was wanted on a Kane County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving while license suspended, police said. Kniece posted a $100 bond and was given a Jan. 6 court date. Kelly A. Slaby, 26, of 1212 Pine St., Lake in the Hills, was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer, police said. Slaby also was wanted on a DuPage County warrant for retail theft, police said. Slaby was held in the McHenry County jail on $2,000 bond and a Jan. 21 court date in Woodstock.

Batavia

• Jason W. Bohl, 36, of 111 Franklin St., was charged at 5:04 p.m. Friday with production of a marijuana plant at his home, police said.

• A car was vandalized between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday in the lot at Batavia High School, 1200 W. Wilson St.

East Dundee

• A Carpentersville man was arrested on drug charges at 9:30 p.m. Friday on the 500 block of Dundee Avenue. Cruz Zesati, 22, of 106 Mora Road, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. Zesati was released with a Jan. 3 court date in Elgin.

Elgin

• An iPod, a cell phone, a digital camera, a PlayStation, laptop computer cables and a platinum chain with a cross charm were stolen between 10 a.m. and noon on Sunday from an apartment on the 400 block of South Street.

Geneva

• The passenger door of a 2004 Ford E250 van was dented in a driveway between 4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Sunday on the 2000 block of Sheffield Lane. Damage is estimated at $1,000.

• Two spotlights and a lamppost were broken, and the lettering on the back of a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck damaged, between 12:01 and 5:30 a.m. Friday at a home on the 900 block of Longmeadow Drive.

St. Charles

• Andrew L. Rymarz, 17, of 419 Grove Court, Batavia, was charged with retail theft at 5:30 p.m. Friday, accused of stealing a $19 bottle of vodka from Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, police said. Rymarz was released with a Jan. 3 court date.

• Paloma Villanueva, 21, of 1826 Wessel Court, was arrested at 8 a.m. Friday and charged with driving without a valid license and driving too fast for conditions after a single-car crash on the 1500 block of Howard Street, police said. Villanueva was released on $1,000 bond with a Jan. 10 court date.

• David E. Chelsvic, 24, of 1527 South St., Geneva, was arrested at 11:42 p.m. Friday and charged with two counts of drunken driving, improper lane use and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 600 block of South First Street, police said. Chelsvic was released on $1,000 bond with a Jan. 16 court date.

West Dundee

• A Carpentersville woman was accused of using false ID Sunday at Best Buy, 979 W. Main St., to obtain a credit card. Maria D. Gordillo, 39, of 1430 Windsor Court, was charged with possession of a fraudulent identification card, police said. Gordillo was held in the Kane County jail on $500 bond with a Jan. 11 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
