Get your letters in soon to Santa
Children can drop off letters to Santa through Saturday with the Hanover Park Park District. The red holiday mail box is located inside the entrance to the Community Center, 1919 Walnut Ave.
Make sure to include a name and address for replies. No postage required. For more information, call the park district at (630) 837- 2468.
Special events at the Victory Centre
Victory Centre, 1101 W. Bartlett Road, Bartlett, will sponsor the following events this weekend. All are free and open to the public. For more information, call (630) 213-0100.
At 2 p.m. Saturday at the Senior Apartment Building, 1105 W. Bartlett Road, see Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," featuring Wisconsin actor Peter Baker in his own adaptation.
On Sunday, Kathleen Murrell of Addison will present her family troop of Hawaiian dancers at 2 p.m., with a tribute to the music and symbolic dance of Hawaii. At 5 p.m., Dorothy Deen of Bartlett and her high school student cello choir will perform holiday numbers.
Flyers host holiday party for children
The Schaumburg Flyers will hold its annual Kids' Holiday Party from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Alexian Field, 1999 Springinsguth Road. There will be appearances by Flyers players, team mascot Bearon and Santa himself.
Admission is free and all children 12 and younger will receive a gift from the Flyers. There will be crafts for kids, stadium tours, autographs and refreshments. Attendees are asked to bring a new gift for Toys for Tots to help kids in need.
The Flyers box office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and normal winter hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call (847) 891-2255, ext. 110 or visit online at flyersbaseball.com.
Lucietto art exhibit opens in Bartlett
A one-man show by local artist Lambert Lucietto is now open in the 2nd Floor Art Gallery at Bartlett Village Hall, 228 S. Main St.
The newest installation by Arts in Bartlett features 18 of Lucietto's ceramic works. His images are inspired by a variety of subjects such as geishas, poets, popes and presidents.
An artist reception, free and open to the public, will be held from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. The gallery is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Streamwood to host Seasonal Serenade
The Streamwood High School music department will present its third annual Seasonal Serenade at 7 p.m. Thursday, featuring the talents of the school bands, choirs and orchestra.
The event will be held at in the Streamwood High School Auditorium, 701 W. Schaumburg Road. Admission costs $1 for students and seniors, $2 for adults and $6 per family.
