Coterie of Barrington: Today is the deadline to register for the Morkes Chocolate Party, hosted by Coterie of Barrington, being held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mundelein Community Women's Club: The Mundelein Community Women's Club will hold its annual lunch with Santa at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kirk Church, next to Mundelein High School. Grayslake Historical Society: The Grayslake Historical Society will hold an open house at the Grayslake Municipal Historical Museum from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, at 164 Hawley St., Grayslake. The museum's vintage sleigh will be available for pictures. Tour the museum, help decorate the tree and enjoy music played on the museum's pump organ. Refreshments served.
Zion Genealogical Society: The Zion Genealogical Society will hold its annual holiday social and pot luck 6 p.m. Monday at the Beach Park Village Hall, 11270 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park. Members are to bring "show and tell" items or stories about their ancestors to share. In addition, members are ask to bring an unwrapped gift to be donated to the women and children of Safe Place. Wheeling Chapter of AARP: Monday is the deadline to register for the holiday luncheon being hosted by the Wheeling Area Chapter of AARP. Snowseekers Ski Club: Skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities are invited to attend the Snowseekers Ski Club meeting held at 7:30 p.m., on the second Tuesday of the month, September through April, at First Presbyterian Church, Maple and Douglas avenues in Libertyville. The club offers families, couples and singles trips to Midwestern and Western ski slopes and an annual "Learn to Ski" weekend, in addition to a variety of non-skiing social activities. Woodstock Squares: WoodStock Squares will hold square dance lessons at 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday for 10 weeks at Whispering Hills Community Center, 4708 Jeffrey St., Johnsburg. Students dance with members of Woodstock Squares, led by a professional caller/teacher. Singles, couples and children age 8 and older with an adult are welcome. A 10-week session is $50 per person.
