Baseball

• Chicago White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper will conduct two pitching and catching camps for youth and high school players this winter at the Bulls/Sox Training Academy in Lisle.

A camp for ages 7 to 12 will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8-9, while ages 13 to 18 will meet from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 9-10.

• Winfield in Action will hold registration for youth baseball and softball in January at the Winfield Park District.

Sign up will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 5, 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 15 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 19. A birth certificate is required for those not previous registered in WIA and for previous late registrants.

Umpires, volunteers, one board member and sponsors are also needed.

• The Bloomingdale Baseball and Softball Association will hold its registration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 12 and 19 in the Kid's Square Clubhouse at Stratford Square Mall, the second floor just outside of Carson Pirie Scott. Basketball

• Tryouts for the Future Rams Feeder Program will be held at the Glenbard East High School fieldhouse.

Tryouts for students in seventh and eighth grades will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 27 and 29.

Teams at each grade level will play a competitive schedule of 25 to 30 games against other high school feeder programs.

• Sponsorships are available for the upcoming Hoops for Healing high school basketball tournament, which will be Monday and Nov. 20 and 23-24 at Naperville North and Oswego high schools.

Hoops for Healing is a fundraising tournament for the Edward Cancer Center in Naperville.
