Island Lake resident Pattie Palzet-Taylor, president of RE/MAX American Dream in Wauconda, was recognized as the 2007 Local REALTOR of the Year by the REALTOR Association of NorthWest Chicagoland. Palzet-Taylor is a member of the National Association of Realtors; Illinois Association of Realtors; and the Realtor Association of Northwest Chicagoland. She was the 1989 president of the Lake Country Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors and has been on the board of directors for both the Illinois and National Associations of Realtors since 2005.
With more than 30 years of experience in the compensation consulting field, David Hofrichter was named lead consultant in the executive compensation practice of Hewitt Associates. Hofrichter will be responsible for providing expert design, strategy and leadership consulting to help clients develop and implement executive compensation and incentive plans that support their specific business goals. He also sits on Hewitt's executive compensation leadership team and its North American consulting leadership team.
The National Recreation and Park Association presented the Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association board of directors with its 2007 Excellence in Inclusion Organization Award, for its unwavering support for inclusion. The Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association is an intergovernmental partnership of 10 park districts, two cities and one village in the Northern suburban area of Chicago that provides and facilitates year-round recreation programs and services for children and adults with disabilities.
The Cook Memorial Public Library District presented Erik Youngman, principal of Copeland Manor School, Libertyville, with its Eileen M. Sullivan Award for promoting library use and literacy. Youngman, has been principal at Copeland Manor School since 2005. With his encouragement, every student at Copelend Manor started the school year with a library card.
North suburban resident Adam Fox joins the Women's National Basketball Association's Chicago Sky as chief operating officer, to lead the team's sales organization and oversee game and business operations. Fox, who has 16 years of marketing and sales experience, previously served as executive vice president of business operations for the Chicago Wolves.
