Baseball clinic set; Kwasigroch's receiving helps Augustana
First, you want to let people know who you are.
Then you have to sell your philosophy.
Paul Mazzuca is following a local baseball coaching legend in Bob Mackey at Stevenson High School.
Mackey retired after 30 successful years on the job, and the 40-year-old Mazzuca, who was recommended by Mackey, took over.
The pitching coach for seven years now must sell himself as a quality head man to not only the players at Stevenson but also to the vital feeder programs.
The getting-to-know-you process is under way.
Mazzuca will hold a clinic on Sunday, Dec. 9, for area youth baseball coaches.
The clinic will start at 9 a.m. at the Stevenson High School field house. Cost is $25.
For details or how to register, call (847) 634-4000, ext. 1300, or e-mail to pmazzuca@district125.k12.il.us.
