Roskam's right on child health care

I certainly understand the appeal of a program to provide health care to low-income children. My kids rely on me for their health care needs. Unfortunately, what the flashy TV ads and media sound bytes fail to tell you is that this bill opens the door to taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens and a national socialized health care system.

When was the last time you enjoyed a trip to the department of motor vehicles? Why on Earth would we put that same incapable, inefficient government bureaucracy in charge of our children's health?

Don't take my word for it, look at the facts. This is a bad bill and I'm glad my congressman, Peter Roskam, is calling for a more responsible alternative. Reauthorize SCHIP, but do it right.
