Terrier club's match includes a Halloween contest

The Western Boston Terrier Club will hold an All-Age Conformation Match from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 21 in the Yorkfield Civic Center, 15W279 Lexington St., Elmhurst. After the match, there will be a dress your dog Halloween contest. For details, e-mail Mpetpurri@ aol.com.

Car-Dun-Al deadlines: Car-Dun-Al Obedience Dog Training Club has set Oct. 18 as the deadline to enter its Tracking Tests and Tracking Tests Excellent, which will be Nov. 4 in Burnidge Forest Preserve and Paul Wolff Campgrounds, Big Timber and Coombs roads, Elgin.

The Tracking fee is $50 and TDX is $100. Send checks, payable to the club, and entry forms to Penny Kurz, Trial Secretary, 737 Primrose Lane, Schaumburg, IL 60194-2625.

The club has also set Oct. 24 as its deadline to enter the Obedience and Rally Trials Nov. 10 at Kane County Fairgrounds, routes 64 and 38, St. Charles. Entry fees for each are $22, plus $15 for the second entry of the same dog. More deadlines: Glenbard All Breed Obedience Club has set Oct. 17 as the deadline to enter its Obedience and Rally Trials Nov. 3 and 4 at DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 W. Manchester Road, Wheaton.

Entry fees for each day are $24, plus $15 for second entry of the same dog, which should be sent with entries to Roy Jones Dog Shows, P.O. 828, Auburn, IN 46706-0828. For details, call (260) 925-0525.

Fox Valley Dog Training Club: The club's entry deadline is Oct. 24 for the Obedience and Rally Trials Nov. 11 at Kane County Fairgrounds, routes 64 and 38 in St. Charles. Tracking Tests: The German Shepherd Dog Training Club of Chicago will hold Tracking Tests and Tracking Test Excellent Oct. 21 at Burnidge Forest Preserve and Paul Wolff Campgrounds, Big Timber and Coombs roads, Elgin. Remember -- they start early.

Nov. 1 is the deadline to enter the club's Nov. 11 Variable Surface Tracking Tests on the grounds of DuPage County Government Center, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton. The entry fee is $100. Correction Clinics: Car-Dun-Al Obedience Training Club's next Correction Clinic will be Oct. 23 at 10643 Wolf Drive in Huntley. Registration is from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with judging to begin at 7 p.m.

The German Shepherd Dog Training Club of Chicago: The club will hold the next all-breed Correctional Clinic Oct. 26. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and judging is at 7 p.m. in the clubhouse, 4925 County Farm Road in Hanover Park. The pre-entry fee is $5 per dog, plus $3 for additional entry of the same dog.
