• Suzanne M. Logan, daughter of John and Dotti Logan of Mundelein, graduated magna cum laude with a juris doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.
She received her bachelor's degree from Yale University and is a 1996 Mundelein High School graduate.
Logan will join Latham and Watkins in Washington, D.C. in the firm's environmental division.
• Joseph Raupp of Wauconda was named to the dean's list in the University of Nortre Dame's First Year of Studies for outstanding scholarship during the spring 2007 semester. Those who make the dean's list represent the top 30 percent of students in their college.
• Kenny McCormick of Lake Zurich parlayed his experience as a top student and caddy into a summer internship with BMW of North America.
In conjunction with the upcoming BMW Championship, Tom Purves, chairman and CEO of BMW (US) Holding Corp., introduced McCormick as a member of the first class of Evans Scholars-BMW Interns who are gaining experience for their post-university careers by working for BMW this summer.
McCormick, one of three interns, attends Northwestern University via the Evans Scholars Foundation -- the largest privately funded college scholarship program for caddies in the nation -- and was selected from a number of applicants to participate in a new BMW internship program exclusively for Evans Scholars.
McCormick worked with BMW's MINI Division in the Central Region office in Schaumburg to develop and execute sponsorships and events.
• Amy Ahrens, daughter of Susie and Gary Ahrens, was named to the spring 2007 dean's list at Columbia College, Chicago, where she is majoring in photography. Ahrens is a 2006 graduate of Lake Zurich High School.
• Sarah June Syverson of Lake Zurich graduated cum laude from Bradley University, Peoria, at the May 19 commencement ceremonies. To achieve this honor, she had a 3.4 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
• Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington named the following to the dean's list for the spring semester of the 2006-07 academic year. To be on the dean's list, a student must have a grade-point average of 3.50 or better during the semester, based on 4.0 for straight A's:
