St. Francis features comedy improv

Take a trip to the annual spelling bee

The Glen Ellyn Park District is planning a trip to the "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The trip will leave from Maryknoll Park, 845 Pershing Ave., Glen Ellyn. The fee of $67 includes transportation.

Everyone purchasing a ticket to the event will be entered into a drawing to win two free passes to Choosing the Perfect Holiday Wine planned Nov. 9.

Touch-a-truck in Warrenville

The Warrenville Park District will hold a Touch A Truck event from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sept. 15 at Summerlakes Park and Johnson Elementary School south parking lot, 2S700 Continental Drive, Warrenville. The event features vehicles in the community used by the fire, police and public works department, the park district, Herbo Tree Service and Voegtle's Lawn Service. Annual Market Place features antiques

Library to feature abstract paintings
