Grayslake

• Michael Barkus, 20, 105 Sanctuary, Island Lake, was arrested Aug. 20 and charged with criminal damage to property after a disturbance at Glen Street and Hamelitz Court, police said. His Round Lake Beach court date was set for Sept. 11.

Gurnee

• Derrick K. Lindsey Jr., 18, 547 Utica, Waukegan, was arrested around 11:40 p.m. Aug. 16 and charged with criminal trespass after a security agent for Six Flags Great America, 1 Six Flags Parkway, saw him in the park and remembered that he had been banned, police said. A court date was not available.

• Thieves stole a purse around 3 p.m. Aug. 19 from a customer at Aeropostale in Gurnee Mills, 6170 Route 132, police said. Total value was estimated at $3,000.

Round Lake

• Christopher G. Delvecchio, 40, 402 N. Prospect, Round Lake Park, was arrested around 1:35 a.m. Aug. 11 and charged with public intoxication after an officer found him highly intoxicated and lying in a parking lot at 302 Nippersink, police said. His Round Lake Beach court date was set for Sept. 25.

• A man grabbed a gold chain from a man's neck around 6:50 p.m. Aug. 12 at the lake front, police said. Value was estimated at $180.

Vernon Hills

• Adrian H. Vera, 4239 Grace St., Schiller Park, and Mark K. Smith, 32, 5106 N. Leonard Drive, Norridge, were arrested Aug. 17 after an officer stopped Smith's car on Lakeview at Brook after the officer recognized him from a prior suspended license arrest, police said. Vera was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and received a Waukegan court date of Sept. 6. Smith was cited for driving while license suspended and no insurance and given a Mundelein court date of Sept. 17, reports added.

Wauconda

• Thieves stole the tailgate from a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck Aug. 22 parked in a sales lot at Deals on Wheels, 26381 Main St., police said. Value was estimated at $1,000.
