Woman arrested on second prostitution charge
A Lake in the Hills woman is facing prostitution charges after being busted in an undercover sting by Schaumburg police for the second time in less than a week.
Kari Deanna Knox, 33, of 3593 Sonoma Circle in Lake in the Hills, was charged with prostitution Aug. 21, just five days after being charged for the same offense by Schaumburg police.
Police said they found an advertisement on the Internet for an escort in the Schaumburg area. After contacting the woman, police said they were told to go to a hotel on the 2000 block of North Roselle Road.
At the parking lot, police said, the woman met the undercover officer and walked him to her hotel room.
The undercover officer then gave $300 to the escort in exchange for sexual acts, and the woman was taken into custody when she took the money, police said.
Police busted Knox in a similar incident on Aug. 16 at a hotel on East State Parkway.
In the latest case, Knox was again released on $1,000 bond. She faces court dates on Aug. 31 and Oct. 4 in Rolling Meadows.
