Algonquin

•An Elgin man was accused of drunken driving at 10:15 p.m. Saturday at Hilltop Drive and Algonquin Road, police said. Patrick D. Mann, 35, of 1125 Abbott Drive, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, no insurance and improper lane use, police said. Mann posted his driver's license and $100. His court date is Sept. 19 in Woodstock.

•An Algonquin man was arrested at his home at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, police said. Jason D. Cochenour, 30, of 409 S. River Road, was charged with criminal damage to property, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, police said. Cochenour remained in the McHenry County jail Monday with a $1,000 bond.

Carpentersville

•A Carpentersville woman was arrested Sunday on a warrant, police said. Rhonda Singleterry, 39, of 2 Middlesex Drive #3, was charged with attempted obstruction of justice/destroying evidence, police said. Singleterry posted a $300 bond. Her next court date is on Aug. 24.

Elgin

•Seven people were arrested at a party at 10 p.m. Sunday, police said. Sergio Caballero, 23, 210 Villa St., was charged with permitting a minor to become intoxicated and was found to be wanted on two Elgin warrants, police said. Caballero was held in the Elgin lockup on $1,200 bond. His court date is Sept. 14 in Elgin. Charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol were Sergio Vega, 17, of 505 Dwight St., Hugo V. Gatlan, 17, of 266 Crystal St., Manuel Chaves, of 1270 Spruce Lane #F, Daniel Lopez, 17, of 702 Algona Ave. and Manuel Lopez, 18, of 702 Algona Avenue. All are from Elgin and all have court dates in Elgin on Sept. 14. Alejandro Vega, 21, of 505 Dwight St. in Elgin was charged with obstruction of justice after he used a false name, police said. He also was wanted on a Kane County warrant on another charge of obstruction of justice, police said. Vega was being held at the Kane County jail on a total bond of $3,150. He was given a Sept. 13 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Huntley

•A Mount Prospect man was accused of drunken driving Saturday, police said. Joseph E. Woolum, 43, of 303 W. Enterprise, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol concentration level of 0.08 percent or more, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, police said. Woolum posted $100 bond and his driver's license. His court date is Sept. 6 in Woodstock.

South Elgin

•An Aurora man was accused of drunken driving at 1 a.m. Monday along Route 31, police said. Raul Pena, 40, of 761 Second Ave., was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and two additional counts of drunken driving, police said. He also was cited for no valid driver's license, no insurance and improper lane use, police said. He was being held in the Kane County jail on $1,000 bond with a Sept. 13 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

West Dundee

•An Elgin man was accused of shoplifting at 6:15 p.m. Sunday at Sears in Spring Hill Mall, police said. Marco A. Ordonez, 31, of 1180 Morton Ave., Elgin, was charged with the felony theft of $316.98 worth of items, police said. Ordonez was being held in the Kane County jail on $1,500 bond. His court date is Sept. 13 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
