Thieves stole a Chicago White Sox flag July 13 out of a yard at a home on the 100 block of Hilldale, police said. Value was estimated at $50.

Grayslake

Nelson P. Palma, 30, 1155 Tobin Court, Waukegan, was arrested July 9 and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after an officer stopped his car for traffic violations at Route 120 and Alleghany Road and found marijuana and a drug pipe in the car, police said. His Round Lake Beach court date was set for Aug. 15.

Gurnee

A man described as 60 years of age with white hair stole a putter around noon July 16 from Heather Ridge Golf Course pro shop, 5900 Heather Ridge Drive, police said. He left in a white Chrysler 300, reports added. A value estimate was not available.

Lula A. Moore, 38, 307 S. Genesee St., Waukegan, was arrested around 8 p.m. July 16 and charged with child endangerment after she left her 4-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter in a van for 45 minutes at Gurnee Mills, 6170 Route 132, police said. The key was in the ignition, reports added. A court date was not available.

Vandals scratched a 1998 Dodge van around 6 p.m. July 15 parked at Six Flags Great America, 1 Six Flags Parkway, police said. Damage was estimated at $300.

Island Lake

Burglars stole about 20 CDs July 11 or 12 out of an unlocked 2000 Dodge Intrepid parked on the 400 block of Channel Drive, police said. Some of the CDs were found on the ground, reports added. A value estimate was not available.

Lake Zurich

Burglars stole a black bag around 4:30 p.m. July 11 out of an unlocked car on the 800 block of March Street, police said. Value was estimated at $50.

Burglars stole loose change valued at $8 out of one car and CDs valued at $1,030 out of a second car July 11 on the 1000 block of Partridge Lane, police said.

Burglars stole a laptop computer around 6:30 p.m. July 11 out of an unlocked vehicle on the 700 block of Route 22, police said. A value estimate was not available.

Libertyville

Vandals damaged a mailbox overnight July 2 to 3 at a home on the 500 block of Sunnyside, police said. Damage was estimated at $150.

Mundelein

Burglars opened the trunk and stole a bag of tools, a case of energy drinks, and 10 Frisbees on an unknown date but reported July 9 out of an unlocked 1992 Saturn parked on the 1000 block of Aberdeen Street, police said. Value was estimated at $100.

Round Lake

Fred K. Beam, 33, 124 W. Washington St., Round Lake, was arrested around 1:50 a.m. July 1 and charged with possession of a controlled substance after an officer stopped his car for traffic violations at Cedar Lake Road and Avilon Avenue and found cocaine in the car. A court date was not available.

Round Lake Beach

Burglars stole an MP3 player, GPS unit and wallet overnight July 7 to 8 out of an unlocked vehicle parked on the 2100 block of Wood Oak, police said. A value estimate was not available.

Burglars punched out the ignition and stole an in-dash stereo valued at $250 July 8 out of a vehicle parked on the 1900 block of Cedar Lake Road, police said. During the same time, someone damaged a door handle on another vehicle at the same address, reports added. Damage estimates were not available.

Burglars stole a laptop computer, a purse, wallet, portable DVD player with screen, cell phone, sunglasses and ID cards July 8 out of two unlocked vehicles parked in a driveway on the 1900 block of Hardwood Path, police said. Value estimates were not available.

Vernon Hills

Topacio E. Hernandez, 21, 203 W. Maple Ave., Mundelein, was arrested July 6 and charged with unlawful use of a credit card, forgery, and possession of fictitious identification after he was accused of taking a stolen credit card at The Body Shop in Westfield Hawthorn, 122 Hawthorn Center, police said. According to reports, he took a wallet out of an employee's purse at Macy's in Westfield Hawthorn and used cards in the wallet to make purchases totaling an estimated $586. A court date was not available.

Wauconda

Hilarion Trujillo-Zavaleta, 22, 660 E. Liberty St., Apt. 302, Wauconda, was arrested June 30 and charged with aggravated battery after a confrontation at his home, police said. A court date was not available.

Michael R. Abood, 18, 28022 N. Hickory, Wauconda, and Michael R. Schlaffer, 18, 665 Laurel Ave., Wauconda, were arrested June 30 and charged with minor consumption of alcohol after an officer found them on the 300 block of Brown Street and determined that they had been drinking alcohol, police said. Abood also was charged with possession of marijuana after the officer found him with the drug, reports added. Abood's Waukegan court date was set for July 23; Schlaffer received an Aug. 8 court date, reports added.

Michael R. Abood, 18, 28022 N. Hickory, Wauconda, and Lewis A. Moneyham, 17, 1005 Monroe Ave., Wauconda, were arrested July 5 and charged with aggravated assault, and Abood was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon, after they made threats with a wooden club on the 100 block of Osage, police said. Abood's Waukegan court date was set for July 23; Moneyham's court date was not available.
