Vanilla French Toast

Vanilla French Toast


1/2 cup vanilla low-fat yogurt
1/4 cup low-fat milk
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Salt to taste
6 slices cinnamon raisin bread
In a mixing bowl beat together egg, milk, salt, spices and vanilla.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium-high flame. Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides. Place in pan, and cook on both sides until golden. Serve hot and top with yogurt or fresh berries.
Serves three.
Nutrition values per serving: 300 calories, 11 g fat, 38 g carbohydrates, 5 g fiber, 14 g protein, 145 mg cholesterol, 487 mg sodium.
