1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuit dough
2 tablespoons margarine
1/3 cup spaghetti or pizza sauce
Equipment
Cookie sheet
Aluminum foil
Mixing cups and spoons
Small sauce pan
Small serving bowl
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
2. In a small bowl, combine Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese; set aside.
3. On the counter, roll each biscuit into a strip of dough about 6-8 inches long. (Caution do not overhandle the dough or it becomes sticky and difficult to work with.)
4. In a small sauce pan over low heat, melt margarine. Dip dough into melted butter, then sprinkle with cheese mixture.
5. Fold dough strip in half and twist like a cork screw.
6. Place the twists on the cookie sheet and bake 6-9 minutes or until light golden brown.
7. In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the spaghetti or pizza sauce. Transfer to a small serving bowl.
