    No one was injured in an early morning grease fire at an Arby's Restaurant in Palatine, authorities said. Palatine Fire Deputy Chief Bill Gabrenya said a neighboring business of the Arby's on 100 block of Northwest Highway saw smoke inside the building at 5 a.m. Monday morning.

They went out of their way to make sure each sundae was perfect and had many toppings to choose from and also served beverages.

    Harold Bergman of Hoffman Estates will take a rare day off from his chores today, but for good reason. Village leaders have declared the day to be Harold Bergman Day. “It’s pretty neat,” Bergman concedes. Bergman turned 97 years old on June 1 and at their last board meeting, village leaders issued a proclamation, dedicating today in his honor. “His family has played an important part in the development of Palatine Township and in Hoffman Estates,” says Hoffman Estates Mayor Bill McLeod. “We felt it was appropriate.”

    No citations have been issued as a result of a head-on collision in Palatine that hospitalized three men Monday night, police said. All three are suffering from significant injuries, though none are considered life threatening, officials said.
