Palatine Township, Palatine Lions Club Host Free Document Shredding Event May 12
Palatine Township and the Palatine Lions Club are co-hosting their annual document shredding event on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Document shredding services are available at no cost to Palatine Township residents.
There is a limit of two (2) "bankers" boxes or paper bags that hold the equivalent amount, per vehicle (no plastic bags are allowed). Volunteers will assist with unloading the boxes or bags of documents for shredding. Participants must stay in their vehicle for safety reasons.
"Palatine Township and the Palatine Lions Club have worked together for several years in offering this popular program," said Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson. "This is just another program the Township offers to all of the its residents. It is highly valued and another positive and productive use of taxpayers funds."
The shredding event will be held in the Palatine Township Center parking lot. Motorists can only enter from westbound Illinois Street just east of Quentin Road. Vehicles dropping off documents are to stay to the right side of Illinois Street, so as not to obstruct any general traffic, before entering the Township parking lot.
Shredding services will be provided by Accurate Document Destruction, Inc., and documents will be destroyed through secure, cross-cut shredding.
The document shredding event will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. or until trucks are full, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Palatine Township Center, 721 S. Quentin Road, Palatine. For more information, call 847-358-6700 or visit palatinetownship-il.gov/document-destruction.
