St. Charles Women's Club to host fundraiser May 5

The St. Charles Women's Club is hosting its annual spring fundraiser to raise money for several local organizations and scholarships. This year, the charities include: Embrace a Family, Lazarus House, and Project Mobility. The event will be Saturday, May 5, at Riverside Receptions, 35 N. River Lane, Geneva.

The theme is "Boots & Bowties," an informal gala with a vintage, country vibe.

The evening will include entertainment, a silent auction, and more. Tickets are $50 per person, with up to 10 people per table. Cocktail hour will begin at 6 p.m., with appetizers and a cash bar, followed by dinner and dessert.

The community can support this fundraiser in several ways - by attending the gala, donating an item or service for silent auction, or by sponsoring the event.

For more information on sponsorship levels, email stcwomensclub@gmail.com.

Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite.com event listing.

The club's mission is: working together to improve the lives of others in our community.

The club, long known as the St. Charles Mothers' Club, was founded in 1924 by Dr. Edith Lowry to provide mothers with guidance for the proper physical care of their babies. Since then, it has evolved into a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that supports the community in many ways. In 2017, it transitioned to a women's club to include all women to engage, empower, and enrich. Visit www.stcharlesmothersclub.org.
