College of DuPage plans Adult Education Social Services Fair

The Continuing Education office at College of DuPage will host its Adult Education Social Services Fair from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the college's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The event is free and includes information about free resources available to adult learners at COD such as Adult Basic Education, a program that prepares students to earn a General Education Development high school equivalency certificate; GED testing; and the English Language Studies program.

In addition, information will be available on programs providing help with health and dental care, educational support, housing, immigration services and transportation.

Representatives from a number of DuPage County agencies will be on hand, including Access DuPage, the DuPage County Housing Supports and Family Self-Sufficiency program, the DuPage County Community Resource Information Center, Hamdard Center for Health and Human Services, World Relief and the YWCA.
