Teens Welcome to Join 80's Lock In at Schaumburg Library

Pizza, crafts and 1980's trivia and games will all be included in the "80's Lock In" for teens scheduled from 5:45-11:15 p.m., Saturday, July 22 at the Schaumburg Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Participants must arrive at 5:45 p.m. (before the library closes), and plan on staying until the end of the Lock In.

Teens at the lock-in are encouraged to dress in 1980's fashion, including large hoop earrings, velour and velvet, bright colored sunglasses and neon shirts. Stirrup pants and parachute pants both played a role in the 1980's fashion scene, as did baggy sweaters and anything with a brand logo, particularly Coke and Nike. These are just a few examples of 1980's clothing that may be worn to the lock in, however costumes are not mandatory.

Registration is required for this free event. To register, call (847) 923-3347 or visit the Teen Desk on the second floor of the library.
