Schaumburg Library Announces June Events in Town Square

The Schaumburg Library will present free concerts, yoga and circus acts on various nights from June through August in Schaumburg's Town Square, located at the corner of Roselle and Schaumburg roads. All ages are welcome to attend, and no registration is required. The following events will take place in June.

The library's outdoor events will kick off with Rhythm Rockets, a vintage jazz and rhythm and blues band, from 6:45-8:15 p.m. on Monday, June 5. Up next is award-winning children's musician and author Jim Gill, who will perform from 7-7:45 p.m., Thursday, June 8. Music will again fill the air as Heartsfield, a southern rock band, entertains from 6:45-8:15 p.m. on Monday, June 12. The next library event will be Sunset Yoga for individuals and families from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 15 and Wednesdays, July 12 and Aug. 9. Participants should bring their own yoga mats or towels.

Country music fans won't want to miss Cowboy Jukebox, from 6:45-8:15 p.m., Monday, June 19. This popular band will entertain with songs from Florida Georgia Line and Miranda Lambert to Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton. Anyone who loves the circus will be sure to enjoy Cirque Amongus, from 7-7:45 p.m., Wednesday, June 21. Performers will combine comedy, circus skills and audience participation in amazing displays of skill and teamwork. The library's June entertainment will conclude with the music of Diva Montell and Jeorge Holmes from 6:45-8:15 p.m., Monday, June 26.

Those attending the library's events in Schaumburg's Town Square are welcome to bring snacks, beverages, blankets and lawn chairs. Pets are not allowed. A full schedule of programs and descriptions will soon be available in the library's June-July Guide, which will be mailed to Schaumburg Township residents in late May. At that time, it will also be available online at www.SchaumburgLibrary.org.
