Watlow to host St. Baldrick's Casino Night benefit March 4

Watlow will be hosting its first Casino Night fundraiser from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at the popular Richardson Farms, 909 English Prairie Road in Spring Grove.

Proceeds from the evening will go directly to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Every year, the McHenry High School hosts the area's largest head-shaving event, which falls on March 16 this year.

Watlow will be sending over a dozen of their own team members who have volunteered to "Brave the Shave" this year!

Guests are invited to bring their best poker faces and be ready for a fun night full of mingling, live music, featuring Deja Blue Band, and games, including craps, roulette, blackjack, and five- and seven-card stud poker. Casino table dealers will provide instructions for all games, so no experience is necessary, and only funny money will be used.

An assortment of complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be served throughout the evening, and a cash bar will be available. A silent auction and raffle table will add to the evening's excitement.

Tickets are available for $30 per person or $50 per couple. Admission includes two free drinks and $500 in funny money for games. Purchase tickets online at www.eventbrite.com. Contact Melissa Bochniak at (847) 366-5413 with questions.

The story of St. Baldrick's in the McHenry community is a story of compassion and dedication. It is the story of young and old coming together for a common cause. It is the story of raising money to end childhood cancer in our lifetime, and it is the story of an entire community united in this fight!

Due to the remarkable efforts of all involved, the 2013 McHenry St. Baldrick's Community Event became the largest St. Baldrick's event in the world with 965 shavees, and that title was held onto last year with 836 heads shaved.

St. Baldrick's has become such an integral part of the fabric of this community, and as we continue to work together in support of this effort - the best is yet to come!
